Arduino Nano is a surface mount breadboard embedded version with integrated USB. It is a smallest, complete, and breadboard friendly. It has everything that Diecimila/Duemilanove has (electrically) with more analog input pins and onboard +5V AREF jumper. Physically, it is missing power jack. The Nano is automatically sense and switch to the higher potential source of power, there is no need for the power select jumper. Nano’s got the breadboard-ability of the Boarduino and the Mini+USB with smaller footprint than either, so users have more breadboard space. It’s got a pin layout that works well with the Mini or the Basic Stamp (TX, RX, ATN, GND on one top, power and ground on the other)
 

What is purpose of Nano?

The Arduino Nano is Arduino's classic breadboard friendly designed board with the smallest dimensions. The Arduino Nano comes with pin headers that allow for an easy attachment onto a breadboard and features a Mini-B USB connector. The classic Nano is the oldest member of the Arduino Nano family boards.

Is Arduino Nano better than Arduino Uno?

If the working space is smaller, it is better to go with Nano. Nano has a large number of pins among both. There are 14 digital pins used and 8 analog pins used in the system. Uno has the same 14 digital pins and only 6 analog pins.

Why Arduino Nano is best?

The Nano, unlike the UNO, cannot connect to Arduino shields but it has pin headers which make it useful for breadboard prototyping or in PCBs with the use of a socket. Often, Arduino Nano boards are the cheapest Arduino board option available making them cost-effective for larger projects

Is Arduino Nano a microcontroller?

Arduino Nano is a small, compatible open-source electronic development board based on an 8-bit AVR microcontroller. Two versions of this board are available, one is based on ATmega328p, and the other on Atmega168

Does Arduino Nano have WiFi?

The board's main processor is a low power Arm® Cortex®-M0 32-bit SAMD21. The WiFi and Bluetooth® connectivity is performed with a module from u-blox, the NINA-W10, a low power chipset operating in the 2.4GHz range. On top of those, secure communication is ensured through the Microchip® ECC608 crypto chip.

Is Arduino Nano or  Arduino Duemilanove is Same?

The Arduino Nano board provides more or less the same functionality of the Arduino Duemilanove but in a more compact design. Comparing to the Arduino Duemilanove board, the Arduino Nano board lack a DC power jack and has a mini-USB connector instead of a standard USB.
